Lemon Tahini Dressing Recipe

We’ve already established that I like easy wins in the kitchen. For me – a good dressing or sauce ticks that box every time. You can take a basic plate of fish and veg and turn it into something really delicious in no time and with very few ingredients. What’s not to love?

Dressings and sauces are also the perfect way to pack more nutrients into a dish – particularly herbs, spices and essential fats, which are often brilliant little hormone harmonisers! By experimenting with different dressings and sauces, you can easily enhance the nutritional value and taste of your meals.

This tahini sauce is an absolute go-to for me. It’s so versatile and can be adapted to make a lovely creamy sauce for on top of hot dishes such as fish, meat or roast vegetables, or loosened up with more water to create a salad dressing that is delicious with everything from a green salad to a more robust quinoa or couscous concoction. Did I mention its a great dip with crudités too….and I have been known to spread it on toast. Told you – V.E.R.S.I.T.I.L.E!

Tahini is a paste made from ground sesame seeds that is commonly used in Middle Eastern cuisine. It is one of the main components in traditionally made humous. The great news for midlife women is that it is rich in hormone-healthy nutrients such as protein, essential fats, and minerals such as iron, magnesium, and calcium. Tahini is also a good source of lignans, a type of plant compound that has been linked to balancing hormones. Lignans can help regulate oestrogen levels in the body which can help manage menopausal symptoms.

I’ll let you get cracking now.
