Ingredients
Golden Milk
1 cup unsweetened milk alternative (oat / coconut / almond)
½ tsp ground turmeric
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground cardamon
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 tbsp local high-quality honey
Overnight Oats
½ cup whole rolled oats
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp high quality protein powder
Optional Extras
¼ cup fruit of your choice
1 tbsp plain unsweetened probiotic yogurt, coconut yoghurt or kefir
½ cup high protein granola (recipe available) or coconut flakes
Instructions
To Make Golden Milk
1 Whisk together milk and spices in a small saucepan over a low heat until warm.
2 Add honey and whisk again until it is dissolved. Do not let the mixture boil.
3 Remove saucepan from the heat and allow to cool for approximately 10 minutes.
To Make Overnight Oats
4 Put the oats, protein powder and chia seeds in a jar or other air tight container. Mix together.
5 Pour the golden milk over the oat mixture and stir gently to combine all ingredients.
6 Cover and store in the fridge for at least 8 hours but up to 2-3 days.
7 Top with fruit, granola, yoghurt or any toppings of your choice and enjoy!
